How to cancel Sky TV
The steps from Sky TV's own help page, in plain English.
Steps
- Contact Sky to cancel: use the Get in touch options at the bottom of Sky's help page (chat, call, the online form, or write to Sky).
- Give at least 31 days' notice. Your notice can't end before your minimum term does.
- Keep paying your Direct Debit until the final bill: Sky bills a month in advance, so more may still be due.
- Sky Stream puck ordered after 23 February 2023? Return it using the returns method Sky gives you.
Good to know
- Cooling off in the UK is 31 days from delivery, installation or your terms (whichever is later). Cancel then and you pay only for the days used and delivery; Sky Glass returns also carry a £25 returns fee.
- Leaving before your minimum term ends may mean early termination charges, which Sky tells you before you go. A 31-day rolling Sky Stream contract has none.
- Sky refunds any credit on your account to your bank 45 days after the service ends.
- Keeping a Sky Glass TV on credit? Keep paying monthly or pay it off in one go.

Keeping it? In MoreBack, Subscriptions shows which of the cards you already hold pays most back on it.
MoreBack is an information tool, not a lender or credit broker. It only compares cards you already hold, and never recommends a new card.
