How to cancel Sky Broadband
The steps from Sky Broadband's own help page, in plain English.
Steps
- Switching to another broadband provider? Just order from them: they tell Sky, and Sky Broadband and Talk end when the new service starts.
- Not switching? Contact Sky with the Get in touch options on Sky's help page and give 14 days' notice.
- Keep paying your Direct Debit until the final bill: Sky bills a month in advance.
- Return your router and any other equipment using the returns method Sky gives you.
Good to know
- Cooling off in the UK is 31 days from router delivery, activation or your terms. Cancel then and Sky refunds what you paid, less the service you used and any one-off set-up fees after activation.
- Leaving before your minimum term (usually 12 or 24 months) may mean early termination charges.
- Sky TV and Sky Mobile carry on: cancel them separately.
- Sky refunds any credit to your bank 45 days after the service ends.

Keeping it? In MoreBack, Subscriptions shows which of the cards you already hold pays most back on it.
MoreBack is an information tool, not a lender or credit broker. It only compares cards you already hold, and never recommends a new card.
