Privacy and terms
MoreBack is in private testing in the UK. This page says plainly what it keeps and what it is. Publisher: Scalespring Group Ltd.
What MoreBack never asks for
- Card numbers, expiry dates or security codes.
- A bank login, or access to your accounts through Open Banking.
- Payments. MoreBack takes no money.
What your account keeps
- Your email and a hashed password, so you can sign in.
- The names of the cards and loyalty schemes you tick, the shops you pin, and anything you type in, such as fees, offers or what you paid.
- A sign in cookie, used only to keep you signed in.
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email, your answers to the signup questions (below) and when you joined, to let you in, to tell you when the iPhone app is out, and to honour the founding member offer below. We also make you a share link and a private link to see your place (we keep only a scrambled copy of the private link, so we can’t send it to anyone, including you).
Signup questions. To join the waitlist you tell us which cards you have (or that you don’t have any yet), roughly what you spend a month (a range), and what annoys you most about money back. The first half of your postcode (for example M4; never the full postcode) is optional. We ask so we build the right things first and cover the right shops and cards, and we only look at the answers added up across everyone, never one person at a time. They stay with MoreBack, are never sold or sent to anyone else, and are deleted with your waitlist place. To have your answers deleted, write to us from the email you joined with.
If you use Near me, your phone’s position is rounded to about 100 metres, used once to find nearby shops, and not stored.
If you use Ask MoreBack (signed in only), the app answers most questions on your phone. When it can’t read a question itself, the words you typed go to Cloudflare Workers AI, our processor, only to turn them into a shop and an amount. Card numbers, your email, name, phone number, postcode and wallet are never sent, and anything that looks like them is removed first. The question and answer are not stored by MoreBack; we keep only a count of how many questions each account asks a day, to hold the daily limit. The answer always comes from your own cards and our checked rates, never from the AI.
You can download everything your account holds, or delete your account and wallet, from Account at any time.
What MoreBack is, and is not
MoreBack is an information tool for cards you already hold. It is not a bank, lender, credit broker or payment service. It does not recommend that you apply for a card or enter a credit agreement, and it does not give personal advice.
Rates come from issuer pages and can change. Check the card issuer’s terms before you rely on a figure. Rewards are only worth having if you pay the balance in full. American Express is not taken everywhere.
Retailer links and commission
Where MoreBack shows a retailer’s voucher code or offer, the link to that retailer may be an affiliate link. Scalespring Group Ltd may earn commission from retailer links. This never affects which card we recommend: the card answer is worked out from your own cards and their issuers’ terms before any offer is looked at. We never show links to apply for a credit card, loan or other credit product, and we never earn anything from card issuers.
Founding member offer
Founding members get MoreBack Premium free when we launch: the first 500 get their first year free. Missed it? Refer 5 friends who join and your first year is free too.
- Places 1 to 500: your first year of Premium free.
- Outside the first 500: refer 5 friends for a year free. If you’re not in the first 500, your first year of Premium is free once 5 people join the waitlist through your share link as confirmed referrals (see what counts below). You can see how many of your 5 have counted through your private link.
- Referrals are checked again at launch. Before we give anyone a free year for referrals, we check each referral again, and we may ask the people you referred to confirm their email address. Referrals that fail those checks don’t count.
- Already on the list: you keep what you were promised. Anyone who joined the waitlist before 13:45 GMT on 27 October 2026 keeps the offer shown when they joined. Everyone who joined by then was in the first 100 places, so they keep Premium free for life. “For life” means for as long as MoreBack offers Premium, on the account you joined with.
- The 6-month offer has ended. From 13:45 GMT to 14:30 GMT on 27 October 2026 we offered places 501 to 1,000 their first 6 months free. Anyone who joined in that window and is in places 501 to 1,000 keeps those 6 months (and gets a full year instead if they reach 5 referrals). We no longer offer 6 months to new signups.
- We no longer offer Premium free for life to new signups.
- Free periods start when Premium launches. We show how many of the first 500 places are left on the homepage, counted from real signups. Only you can see your own place, through the private link you get when you join.
- The promoter is Scalespring Group Ltd.
- One place per person and per email address. Your place in the first 500 is set by the order you joined the waitlist; extra or duplicate signups and test addresses do not count. Referrals never move anyone into the first 500.
- The features in MoreBack Premium are to be confirmed at launch.
- There is no cash alternative, and a place can’t be passed to someone else.
Referrals
When you join, you get a personal share link. What a confirmed referral does depends on where you are:
- In the first 500. Each confirmed referral moves you up 10 places in the queue for early access. Up to 10 referrals count, so you can move up at most 100 places, and you never move past the start of the list.
- Outside the first 500. 5 confirmed referrals unlock your first year of Premium free. Referrals also move you up the early-access queue, but never into the first 500.
- What counts. A confirmed referral is someone joining through your link with a new email address that wasn’t already on the list. Repeat signups, test addresses, your own inbox and an inbox already on the list written another way (for example with a “+” tag or extra dots in a Gmail address) don’t count.
- Limits. At most 5 referrals a day count, to stop misuse.
- Checked again at launch. We check referrals again before any free year is given, and may ask the people you referred to confirm their email address first.
- Private. We never show anyone’s place publicly. You see your own place and referral count only through your private link, never by typing an email.
- We may withdraw referral moves or free years gained by fake or automated signups.
How the earnings calculator works
The homepage calculator is an estimate only, not advice or a promise.
Based on 46 issuer-published card rates checked by MoreBack (as of 26 Oct 2026), priced at typical UK shops for each type of spend with monthly caps applied. Ongoing rates only: intro rates and rates that need extra conditions are left out. Points are valued at MoreBack's default (Clubcard 1p, Nectar 0.5p, Amex Membership Rewards 0.8p, John Lewis 1p); schemes without a default, such as Avios, count as £0 here. "Typical" is the middle card of those that earn anything; "best" uses the top card for each type of spend, which may mean holding more than one card. Your real figure depends on the cards you hold.
Founder Lifetime (draft, not on sale)
This is not on sale and nothing can be bought today. These are draft terms for a possible future offer, published so they can be reviewed before any launch.
- What it is. A one-off payment of £79 for MoreBack Premium for life, limited to 250 places. No subscription and no renewal.
- What “lifetime” means. Premium on the account you paid with for as long as MoreBack offers Premium. It is not the lifetime of the buyer, and it can’t be transferred. If MoreBack stops offering Premium within 3 years of your payment, we’ll refund a share of the £79 for the unused part of those 3 years.
- Your 14-day right to cancel. You can cancel within 14 days of paying for a full refund, no reason needed, by writing to us from the email you paid with. This is your legal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- Refunds. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, within 14 days of you cancelling. After the 14 days, refunds are only for the reasons above or where the law gives you one.
- Payment. Payment would be taken by Stripe on Stripe’s own page. MoreBack never sees or stores card details.
- The seller would be Scalespring Group Ltd. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.
MoreBack Premium guarantee
Premium will cost £2.99 a month or £29 a year at launch. Founding members get a free period first: a year, or for life for anyone who joined before 13:45 GMT on 27 October 2026, or 6 months where the earlier offer promised it (see the founding member offer above). There is nothing to pay for Premium today: MoreBack takes no payments while it is in private testing.
If you pay for Premium and it doesn’t save you more than it cost in your first year of paying, we’ll refund the difference. In plain terms:
- What counts as savings. Only savings MoreBack tracks for you: money back you log in the app, bill savings you confirm in the app, and claims you log in the app (such as Delay Repay or a tax refund).
- When to claim. Within 30 days of your first renewal date. Write to us from the email on your account.
- What you get back. The difference between what MoreBack tracked as saved and the Premium fee you actually paid for that year. If you saved more than you paid, there is nothing to refund.
- One per person. One guarantee claim per person, whatever the number of accounts or email addresses.
- Free periods don’t count. It doesn’t apply to any free founding period (a year, 6 months or for life), because there is no fee to refund. If you start paying after a free period, your first year counts from your first payment.
- The promoter is Scalespring Group Ltd. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.
